The DAS Audio EVENT-30A (EVENT 30A) is a self-powered two-way line array module for medium to large events, fixed installations and rental systems. It pairs two 10-inch neodymium woofers with two M-60 (1.75-inch) compression drivers on 2000 W peak (1000 W continuous) of Class D power, reaching 138 dB maximum linear SPL and 142 dB maximum SPL with 90 degrees of horizontal coverage.

Its headline feature is Smart Self-Tuning: infrared sensors let each cabinet find its position in the array and talk to the other boxes, so the system counts the cabinets, identifies the top and bottom units and loads the right long-throw or short-throw preset without manual setup. The reinforced polypropylene enclosure weighs 58.3 lb (26.5 kg), the symmetric "V" woofer layout holds the 90-degree pattern down to 200 Hz, and the amplifier module has its own rain cover for added protection in bad weather. A 24-bit DSP with FIR processing gives flat-phase response and keeps the EVENT-30A compatible with the EVENT-26A and EVENT-28A, and the whole system can be monitored and managed through DAScontrol.

Do I need a laptop to tune an EVENT-30A array?

No. Smart Self-Tuning detects how many cabinets are in the hang and where each one sits, then loads the matching long-throw or short-throw preset automatically, which cuts setup time and removes a common source of configuration mistakes.

How many EVENT-30A boxes can I fly?

Up to 24. DAS rates the steel FSS rigging for arrays of up to 24 units, with splay angles from 0 to 10 degrees in 1-degree steps, hung from the AX-EV30 rigging bumper.

Can I set the angles before the array goes up?

Yes. FSS lets you select splay angles directly on the PL-EV30S transport dolly, which holds up to 6 EVENT-30A cabinets. The FUN-4-EV30 and FUN-6-EV30 covers protect 4 or 6 units on the dolly, and the AXS-EV30 stacking bracket ground-stacks up to 4 on a subwoofer.

Which subwoofer goes with the EVENT-30A?

DAS designed it to work with the EVENT-S218A dual 18-inch subwoofer as a full-range system.

EVENT-30A or EVENT-28A?

The EVENT-30A is the bigger box: 2 x 10-inch woofers and two M-60 drivers, 1000 W continuous (2000 W peak), 142 dB maximum SPL, 63 Hz low-frequency extension, a 90-degree pattern, Smart Self-Tuning and arrays of up to 24 units, at 58.3 lb. The EVENT-28A uses 2 x 8-inch woofers and one M-60 driver, 650 W continuous (1300 W peak), 140 dB maximum SPL, 70 Hz extension, a wider 100-degree pattern and arrays of up to 18 units, at 44.1 lb, with presets chosen by hand in DAScontrol. Choose the EVENT-30A for larger rooms and outdoor stages, the EVENT-28A where a lighter system covers the space. Compare both in DAS line arrays.
