The JBL SRX918S is a high-performance 18-inch active subwoofer designed to complement SRX900 Series full-range sound reinforcement systems. It features a JBL 2279G-1 18-inch Differential Drive woofer with dual voice coil and dual-gap technology, delivering improved heat dissipation, reduced power compression, and wide dynamic range for demanding professional sound applications.
Built-in amplification and DSP provide a convenient plug-and-play solution while maintaining consistent system performance. Its passively cooled Class-D amplifier delivers 1,100 watts of continuous power, while user-controllable DSP and LevelMax transducer protection help optimize performance and protect the woofer during high-output operation. The large low-frequency port improves airflow and reduces audible turbulence at high volume levels.
The SRX918S provides flexible system control through dual etherCON Ethernet ports, HARMAN HControl support, and a rear-panel LCD. Its reinforced 18mm plywood enclosure features a durable Black DuraFlex finish and two integral recessed handles for professional handling and transportation. With selectable omnidirectional or cardioid operation, it is well suited for touring, live sound, installations, and professional sound reinforcement systems.
