The RCF HDL 10-A (HDL10-A) is a compact self-powered line array module for live sound reinforcement and installed systems. A Class-D two-way digital amplifier delivers 1400W peak (700W RMS) to dual 8" carbon fiber woofers and a large-format 2" compression driver, covering 65 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 133 dB max SPL. At 45 lb it is the module to reach for when you want line array behavior in a box one person can load.

Why it earns its place in the truck

  • 1400W peak, 700W RMS, all built in. Class-D amplification and DSP live in the cabinet. No amp rack, no outboard processor.
  • 100° x 15° coverage from a custom waveguide. Wide horizontal pattern with tight vertical control and linear high-frequency response.
  • Fly up to 16 modules. Steel construction mechanics and a heavy-duty fly bar, with inter-cabinet angles selectable in 2° increments so you can build real J-shaped or spiral arrays.
  • Back-panel control without a laptop. Two HF settings, four cluster configurations, a high-curve EQ, an indoor correction EQ, and a volume knob. Power, Signal, and Status LEDs let you check the rig at a glance.
  • 800 Hz crossover. The ND 640 compression driver's 2.5" voice coil takes the crossover low, so a wide vocal range comes from a single driver.
  • Built to survive the road. Molded polypropylene composite damps cabinet vibration at full output, with two aluminum side handles and rubber handgrips.

Is the HDL 10-A the right size for your rig?

RCF's HDL series steps up by low-frequency section and available headroom. If you are deciding between modules:

  • RCF HDL 6-A, dual 6", 1400W peak, 131 dB. The most portable option, for small rooms and fill duty.
  • RCF HDL 10-A (this module), dual 8", 1400W peak, 65 Hz to 20 kHz, 133 dB, 45 lb. The mobile-friendly middle of the range.
  • RCF HDL 20-A, dual 10", 1400W peak, 55 Hz to 20 kHz, 135 dB. Deeper low end and more output, at 66.6 lb.
  • RCF HDL 30-A, dual 10", 2200W, up to 137 dB. Step up when you need extra headroom for larger events.

Common questions

Is the RCF HDL 10-A powered or passive?
It is fully powered. The Class-D amplifier and DSP are built into the cabinet, so no external amp or processor is needed.

How many can I fly together?
Up to 16 modules, using the heavy-duty fly bar and steel rigging mechanics. Angles between cabinets adjust in 2-degree increments, so you can build a true J-shaped or spiral array rather than a fixed curve.

How is it different from the HDL 20-A?
Both are 1400W peak. The HDL 20-A steps up to dual 10" woofers for deeper low end (55 Hz versus 65 Hz) and more output (135 dB versus 133 dB), but weighs 66.6 lb against the HDL 10-A's 45 lb. The 10-A is the easier box for one-person load-ins and tighter rooms.

Do I need a subwoofer with it?
Usually yes for music-forward shows. At 65 Hz the HDL 10-A handles speech and most live band material well, but hip-hop and EDM programs will want subs underneath.

How does it ship?
Packaged weight is 56 lb in a 25.5 x 19.7 x 14.6" box. If you are ordering several modules or need a delivery appointment, contact us before checkout and we will quote it properly.
